Wird das Asus RAMPAGE IV Extreme Mainboard ausgewählt, wird aus Platzgründen anstatt dem Prolimatech Armageddon der gleichwertige Prolimatech Megahalems mit einem Noctua NF-P12 Lüfter verbaut.

In der Silent Edition wird dieser Kühler mit einem Noctua NF-P14 Lüfter mit ULNA  Adapter ausgestattet. Trotz seiner geringen Lautstärke von nur 10 dB(A) erreicht der Lüfter einen Airflow von 71 m³/h!
Die Adapter können nachträglich beliebig entfernt und hinzugefügt werden. So sind auch schnellere Drehzahlen und höhere Airflows bei grösserer Geräuschentwicklung möglich. Alle Adapter liegen bei.

Kühler

Wie beim Megahalems ist der Kühlkörper zweigeteilt und somit als Twin-Tower konstruiert. Da die abschließende Deckel-Lamelle jedoch beide Türme überdeckt (erhöht die Stabilität!), ist dieses Kennzeichen weniger deutlich. Wie die gesamte Produktpalette von Prolimatech zeichnet auch den Armageddon eine sehr hohe Verarbeitungsqualität aus. Der gesamte Kühlkörper wurde für besseren Schutz und coolere Optik mit einer silbernen Nickelschicht überzogen, die Lamellen für hohe Stabilität gegenseitig verstrebt.

Lüfter

Noctua gehört zu den bekannten Größen im Silent-Cooling-Bereich, wobei besonders die CPU-Kühler des österreichischen Herstellers einen hervorragenden Ruf genießen. Sie verbinden eine ausgezeichnete Verarbeitungsqualität mit einer hohen Kühlleistung und einer minimalen Geräuschentwicklung.
